The Importance of Equipment Calibration for Extending Equipment Lifetime

Calibration is the process that determines the accuracy of the equipment. The equipment calibration process involves comparing a reading obtained from the equipment to a reading obtained from standardized equipment. Then, one measures the variance between the two. Instrument calibration also involves adjusting the precision and accuracy of the equipment until its readings are within acceptable range of the established standard.
